Monique first exploded on the comedy scene of her hometown Miami in the clubs and cabarets of South Beach. Noted for her sense of putting the AHA! in the Ha!Ha! she traces her comedic resume through a blistering path of network and cable television specials, radio and more recently play writing. This versatile (Snoop Dogg to Disney®) Latina writer-performer is currently writing the Broadway bound touring show for the best selling self help book of all time: John Gray’s Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.
She is reaping the benefits of a Showtime Special in heavy rotation, Snoop Dogg presents the Bad Girls of Comedy and developing a dramedy series with Warner Brothers based on her critically acclaimed one woman show: Not Skinny; Not Blonde. Her unique use of take-no-prisoners honesty and unflagging positivity are in high demand.
What’s next for Monique? She has always written all of her own material and continues to WOW audiences with her sharp stand up and imrov. Her ability to tailor make a performance and appeal to many demographics thanks to her Hispanic roots and special brand of classy, sassy femininity is keeping her extraordinarily busy. Mostly she is enjoying the moment.
