If you drive an 18 wheeler you have probably run into the Joey Holiday show in the parking lot of a TA or Petro truck stop or at a major trucking event. The shows rock and the price is right – free. Joey and his wife Vicky put on these shows to help keep trucking music alive.
As a recording artist and songwriter Joey has sung for thousands of truckers, the first of which was his uncle, a full time truck driver, said the Montgomery, AL native. “My daddy also drove for a while”. Joey’s mother taught him three guitar chords as a boy and he has combined his love of music with his respect for trucking. From Music City USA he tours the country playing his own brand of trucking music.
Opening for country legend Waylon Jennings at Truckerfest ’99 in Sparks, NV is among the highlights of Joey’s career. He has also performed at the Mid America Truck Show in Louisville, KY and the Shell Superrigs Show in Walcott, IA.
Listen to Joey on SiriusXM and buy Joey Holiday CDs right here. It is good clean trucking entertainment.
