Reviews and Teasers

Long Haul Paul is a trucker-singer-songwriter laureate.  This album contains reflections from a mature marriage that are easy to relate to.  For example, this is the spoken introduction to one of his songs ‘This, Our Disease’:

Someone dumped some cats off at our house.  ‘You see, Denise, I am not a cat sanctuary’.  I got home that Friday and she had my favorite dinner made and was all lovey-dovey, then she dropped the hammer on me.  She talked me into keeping those cats.  The next morning, I woke up and felt cheap and abused and manipulated.  Then I wrote this song.

For trucking flavored songs see his previous release “From Bessemer to Birmingham”.  It is all excellent Americana.
